OATMILL FACTORY
Das-Studio has been engaged to help its client realise the potential of a 4000m2 site in Mt Gambier. Featuring six buildings in total, five of which are heritage listed, the site was once a grain store and administration hub in the region between 1867 and 1936.
Das-Studio completed a masterplan for the site which mapped out logical staging of works in order of importance. This included laneway and public realm upgrades, such as a new forecourt and shade structures, disabled access and compliance across the site, heritage restoration strategies, and finally, the buildings themselves.
Das-Studio prepared aspirational visualisations for the main grain store building which has been utilised to secure an anchor tenant and initiate the roll-out of the site masterplan.
The project will be realised over the next 18 months.
